Information:

It is placed inside a large house that dates back to the XVIIth century. It is located in the historic city centre. That place was chosen because of historic circumstances since the Queen Joan I, together with her ladies-in-waiting, made lace and embroidery works that have been recovered now.

It can be seen lace and embroidery works, clothing and liturgical exhibits, ritual cloths, domestic trousseau... made in Europe. Among them, the ones in Castile and Léon stand out. They are exhibits from the XVIth century until nowadays.

It has a library specialized in textile themes that has more than 6.000 volumes.

The didactic centre analyzes and studies designs, history, lace and embroidery works' techniques in general. It pays special attention to the hystorical part of Castile and Leon from the XVIth and XVIIth centuries.

The museum mentioned above is fits into the network of the Junta of Castile and Leon.
