Temporary exhibition: "Vestuario para una reina" ("Costumes for a queen")

This exhibition allowed us to see Queen Joan in a different but original way. It showed the spectacular dresses worn by the actress Pilar López de Ayala in the film "Mad Love”, directed by Vicente Aranda and the original dress sketches. Dresses were designed by Javier Artiñano and tailored by Peris.

This film was the 2002 Goya winner for Best Costume Design. The famous Goya statuette, given by the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences,  was also shown at this exhibition.

The exhibition was organized by the Tordesillas Tourist Office and developed in collaboration with the figurine maker Javier Artiñano, the film production company “Enrique Cerezo Producciones Cinematográficas”, the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, with José Luis and Enrique Fernández (the sculptors of the Goya statuette) and the design firm “Adolfo Domínguez S.A.).

Everybody could enjoy this exhibition placed at St. Francisco church, from 17 June to 30 August, 2009.
